Day
Centre To follow the vision of our foundress Catherine McAuley in her love for the poor - Part of the Convent has been set aside to be used for the sole benefit of serving the most deprived families in this multicultural and multifaith community.
‘I would rather be cold and hungry than that God’s poor should be
deprived of any consolation in my power to
give them.’We aim to provide a place where we can uplift the heart and mind of the poor, by showing them a real concern for their plight, in offering them practical help and care. At our Centre we
network with
other Faith Groups and Organizations who provide similar care
for women and children. We are also
founder memebers of Birmingham Citizens, a social justice
network
based at
149-153 Alcester Road, Birmingham B13 9PS, Phone: 0121 449 2626 St.
